@Charles64
Just had a closer look at your 2LP, sorry for trainspotting but thats not the 2017 VP (3CD or 3LP) but an earlier 2008 “Deluxe Edition” of Heart Of The Congos. The Best Of The Rest 2nd LP appears to be material that has nothing to do with the Heart Of The Congos, The Black Ark or Lee Scratch Perry, probably more reason to get the 2017 3CD set.
Someone mentioned this album or heard it on jazz radio.
Could not find it on Qobuz. A couple of days later e-bay came up with it for £2.87 including postage.
Arrived this morning. Now ripped and listening from NAS.
Oscar Peterson - A Summer Night in Munich (1999)
Ha! That’s great detective work. I presumed I had a 2LP version of the 3CD set.
Even more of a reason/excuse to get the 2017 VP 3CD now, as you say.
For the record, this 2008 (!) version isn’t too bad, though I can see why I thought the B&F CD was my preference.
(Indeed, I’ve just scrutinised the vinyl copy I have and it is the 2008 version).
Not sure why VP did that, its a pick of tracks from 2 or 3 later albums recorded elsewhere so a bit misleading but interesting nonetheless.
I posted it here 8 days ago.
