What are you listening to in 2022 and why might anyone be interested

I think they’re no more. This is a compilation of unreleased stuff from 2000-10.
Saw them at the Brixton academy back in the early 90’s . Great band.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the Giles Martin remix from 2017. Finally got around to buying a copy on vinyl. And, what a superb reworking of the original mix, a good pressing, perfectly flat vinyl and great sound enhance this sensitive reworking if The Fabs finest.

Playing from the USB stick in the car on the way home, sounding great.

A really beautiful record of mostly just voice and guitar - both given extra dimensions and depth by a perfect studio recording and judicious overdubs, multitracking.

Nina Simone | Little Girl Blue | 1959 / 2021
One album play (from Malia) leads to another and this old classic knocked on the door, wonderful music. The recent stereo makeover works very well IMHO.

That’s a fresher looking version than mine! Donated by my mother-in-law who was a regular at the Cavern, so assume bought when it came out.
Why a dark/light green insert? Is that normal?

Another heads up for Beeb 2 at 22.45 tonight :

Annie Lennox performs at LSO St Luke’s, London, with members of the BBC Concert Orchestra, followed by a 30 minute chit chat where she talks about her life and her personal and musical relationship with Dave Stewart.

They’ve both been shown before, and are a worthwhile watch.

The vampire lovers. Why?

  1. I like Hammer horror genre
  2. I like Peter Cushing
  3. Contains gratuitous sex and nudity.

Françoise Hardy, introducing Françoise. Enjoyed the her self titled album very much. Here’s another one. Sounds interesting and nicely pulling me out of the depression induced by catching up reading the news. :relieved:
