Folk. Enjoyable. Getting a lot of listens in.
No laughing please! James Blunt. 1st Album. CD. I bought this for £1.50 in a charity shop about 7 years ago. Yes it has “that” song on it. However there are a number of songs on it that are serious and quite dark, and very good. The song “No Bravery”, about the war in Kosovo, in which he served, is chilling imho. Wisemen is also excellent.

Bowes and Morley. Mo’s BBQ. 2004. CD. They of the Voice and Guitar/Composer of Thunder. Melodic, bluesy, soulful and at times, funky rock.
First listen to something new. Sort of reggae / dinner jazz? Gorgeous anyway!

Robert Wyatt

Apart from the introduction, which I don’t fully understand given my poor English… I love this album. My God, Robert Wyatt’s voice makes me cry.
When I bought that album back in the day it had a download code to download this album in a format called Flac.

Hi Andy,
I got that too. Unfortunately never downloaded the album.
Do you have King Strut and Other Stories, which was released the following year? It’s also a gem with a nice mixture of moods, great tunes, witty lyrics, and superb playing. So of course, The Graun damned it with faint praise by dismissing it as “user-friendly folk”.
