A liitle earlier at 7.00 is Dusty from 1967, Dusty Springfield with guest Alf Garnett…oh dear never mind!
Thats a bit sad…and rather worrying
It’s the Blues Jim - but not as we know it.
Joining others here paying R.E.S.P.E.C.T to the Queen Of Soul
This is the excellent Rhino re issue of the original Mono cut of the album
Imo one of the best albums ever made!
Guthrie and Grundman’s 2018 master – far superior to even the UK first press, in my not very humble opinion.
Fred Locks And The Creation Steppers - Love And Only Love (Regal)
Super Roots album produced by UK and JA legendary sound system operator Lloyd Coxsone ( Coxsone Outernational Sound)
Now that is an album.
But he sure makes great music.
Great cover too imo😎
Typographically speaking that is.
Elton John. Don’t shoot me I’m only the piano player.
I instinctively usually choose either Captain Fantastic or Honky Chateau but this is also an excellent album from that period.
Love this album, particularly the track ‘Blues for my baby and me’. The CD has some decent bonus tracks, including the wonderful ‘Skyline pigeon’ (piano version). Must get this one on vinyl.
Agree Isca. I bought it originally on vinyl when it was released but as you say, the cd has some good bonus tracks.
It’s a beautiful day.
Contains White bird which is one of my favourite tracks Steve.
By coincidence a completely different White bird appears on ISB Changing horses which is also a favourite.
A few trax off this due out June. Apart from the Doobies and Steely Dan he also appeared on Donna Summers Hot Stuff and Dolly Partons 9 to 5 amongst so many other trax.
