I’m playing day 4 (disc number 4) of Ludovico Einaudi’s lengthy but excellent Seven Days Walking boxset.
The Nightfly is the debut solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Donald Fagen. Produced by Gary Katz, it was released October 1, 1982, by Warner Bros. Records.

The Delines Colfax
In the hope I can wangle time off to go see them at the Union Chapel in Feb - and can get a ticket…
Edit\ bugger work, I’ll sort that later. Ticket booked!
Lol. I guess technically he does. Fortunately Rod had no input and never knew!!
But unlike Rod not see a few pounds in it - funny on a similar note I found out Mary Hopkin was on the Young Americans album now that did surprise me.
Didn’t know that. Please explain.
Bowie had finished recording Young Americans and passed the tapes over to Tony Visconti with instructions for a few edits.
One was the inclusion of the line “what they look like” on the track Somebody Up There Likes Me.
Visconti and his wife Mary Hopkin sung the line which was inserted at 3’24’’
Warning it’s my favourite Bowie song and once you hear it you won’t be able to listen to the track without un- hearing what now to me is a rather clumsy edit.
Just playing it now. Wow. Yep I hear it. Well you learn something new even at my age!!
Thanks for that. Wonderful info.
