Billie Joe + Norah – Foreverly
CD rip | 2013
Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day) and Norah Jones sing The Everly Brothers’ “Songs Our Daddy Taught Us”.
I saw him in about 79 at Leeds Uni - loved it then.
Not a big fan but haven’t played it for years, maybe it might’ve matured with age. Pink Floyd’s Division Bell
My last for the night.
That is taking upcycling to a whole new level. Persian?
Taj Mahal & Ry Cooder - Get On Board.
I posted this one about a month back, and these were my thoughts at the time :
" Taj and Ry reprise the songs of Sonny Terry and Brownie Mc Ghee, a major influence on each of them.
Down the years, Ry Cooder really has finessed the knack of turning out great collaborative efforts, hasn’t he?"
Since then, I’ve given it some extended listening, and we are in serious belter territory here … … … you owe it to yourself to have a listen over on Tidal, etc.
Get on board, you won’t regret it.
Neil Young - Harvest.
I do sometimes need a poke in the ribs to remind me to play some of the great choons buried deep within my server.
Cheers, @johnt
