Yello - Flag.

Before I retired, working offshore worldwide meant a fair amount of early o’clock driving, down empty motorways, to airports, and I had to remove this CD from the car, as, when it was playing, I found myself steadily going ever faster and faster … … … scarily so, on occasion.

Should come with a health warning … … … “Do not have this playing, when driving alone.”

That happened to me in my car as a very young man the first time I played Copland’s “Rodeo” on my CD player; looked down at the speedometer and I was 20 mph over the speed limit!

Not seen this, but something in the back of my mind made me think of Free/Kossoff/Mott the Hoople etc. I’m looking him up, seems I’m on the right track. Plus local to me in Worcestershire.

Queen - News of the World - 1977

What a mix of rock anthems and questionable tunes like Fight from the Inside?
Always a fan of Spread Your Wings though.

Also sort of took the part of Jim Morrison in the Butts Band.

His stuff with the band Bronco particularly the track ‘Bumpers West’ is well worth a listen.
