Welsh band with an unlikely sounding fusion of Jamaican Dance Hall and Heavy Metal racket…on a label fittingly titled Earache
Perfect Sunday evening music. Vinyl.
The great Nicky Thomas - Love Of The Common People (Trojan)
The title track will of course be familiar to many from the cover version by Paul Young
New one is well worth a spin too
Wire. Chairs missing.
One of best groups I’ve heard live. Bit like Pixies. Loud, quiet, loud, quiet. Relentless.
Remember them once finishing by placing guitar on stand as they left stage to sound of its feedback which remained until roadie switched it off.
Little Feat - Waiting For Columbus.
Blimey this is ferocious and I rather like it - Ava Mendoza US guitarist and her quartet (bass, sax, drums) Echolocation - imagine Ornette’s Prime Time jamming with Sonic Youth. Tidalised.
Just beautiful harmonies.
staying with the live stuff
Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More From The Road, listening to the expanded version, featuring songs omitted from the original release, plus alternative performances.
Great album.
She can sing a bit. Vinyl.
