Porcupine Tree - Stars Die The Delerium Years 1991 - 1997

I enjoyed it and played it this morning over coffee whilst doing todays Wordle😊
Earth Wind & Fire That’s The Way Of the World
2012 Sony / Blu-spec CD / Paper Sleeve Edition / SICP20354
Initially recommended by @johnt, this has become one of my all time favourite albums, and, indeed, bands - whatever they call themselves, the music remains sublime.
The Who - Who’s Next - 1971
As for ‘the why?’, I would love to say I’ve liked them for years, but that’s not the case at all, months more like, but better late than never. Seeing Tommy again earlier this year was the catalyst, and the originality of it suddenly struck a chord, if you’ll forgive the pun.
So many amazing songs on this album, Won’t Get Fooled Again a favourite.
Why? Err…'cos it makes me happy
I Just Can’t Stop It - The Beat.
What a debut album from one of Brum’s finest … … … Roger Charlery, still missed, and taken way too soon.
That’s what it’s all about, enjoying the music.
Eagles - Long Road Out Of Eden.
Blue & Lonesome - The Rolling Stones.
Just some rough edged R & B from some old geezers.
Playing this in anticipation of the now definitely forthcoming (just a week away), Hackney Diamonds album.
After a morning in the Oxfam shop chucking out a large donation of Easy Listening vinyl*, time for some gr8 music. Andrew Hill Black Fire my second fave of his (just behind Compulsion) all the better for being TPd.
- Bizarrely, in the middle of a run of Val Doonicans was a copy of An Electric Storm by White Noise! Go figure. Still a result.
