What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

Bang on a Can ‘In C’ lively version of Terry Riley’s minimalist classic. A spirited interpretation that I’ve not played in a while.

It has taken me about 30 years to get my LP12, it was worth the wait, I just love what I’m hearing.

Go for it, you won’t regret it, just factor in getting a power supply for the ability to play 45’s at the flick of a switch.

Or short term, use the £30 45rpm adaptor.

I say ‘short term’ but I happily used one for years before I got the Lingo PS.

In the last few weeks I’ve bought the supernait 3, cds5i and d20r.

The LP12 is next but I’ll be divorced if I get it too soon.

Thanks for the advice though.

I get that. Linn’s are going nowhere, so when you’re both ready…

Luckily, I had my Linn before I met my wife…so she’s kinda used to it. Most annoyingly, an audiophile ex-friend put her completely off using it with his pompous, overbearing attitude.

That’s why he’s ex.

Acquired today on used vinyl - first impressions are a very good pickup.

1 tune each side. Great jams. Roy Ayers just killing it on vibes on side 2.

Lorraine Nash - All that I can be.

She supported Nick Lowe this evening and seemed amazingly assured and was quite funny - spending a while re-tuning her guitar she said “I’ll have CDs available in the foyer, if you buy them I can buy a second guitar”.
