Indulging in some nostalgia. Playing disc one (1958-1964). And what a backing band !

Christine Collister & Dave Kelly - Live - WAV CD Chris has a glorious voice and Dave Kelly (Blues Band) is a fine guitarist, they make an excellent live duo. The mix in this puts Chris’s voice a bit too in your face, but it’s still a lovely recording of wonderful singing and really sensitive acoustic playing on beautiful songs. Looking forward to seeing them on Wednesday.

@Middle Glad to hear that you’re enjoying these albums, it’s also worth checking out the three he did with Christina Vantzou as CV & JAB.

I saw her around this time last year promoting her new album. In the interval I spoke to her saying I saw her around 1990 with Clive Gregson and would she be singing any of those songs. She said no she doesn’t do them now.

I got the impression it was more a case of being in the right key so you might he lucky.

Disc three of the brilliant Joy Division live set Eternal. This is a previously unheard desk recording from The Factory on 13th July 1979. Absolutely superb. What a band they were.
