In about 1981 I was lent a tape of their first album, Adolescent Sex, 1978, which I thought was great, particularly the title track. Tin Drum, 1981, is a world away but good in a different way.

‘Too Low For Zero’ – Elton John

A super album from ’83 and a return to form for Elton, in no small part due to the return of the old gang - Bernie Taupin, Dee Murray, Nigel Olsson and Davey Johnstone. Crystal clear production too.

Happy New Year all.

Ten Years After - A Space In Time - 1971

My 18 year old son’s physiotherapy session on his dislocated knee hobbled the blitzkrieg of postings (if you’ll kindly pardon the pun).

I’m limping on with this great album ( if you’ll kindly …. ditto)

Suede - Antidepressants

Heading out soon to celebrate the end of 2025 and hoping 2026 is a good year for all of us, wherever we live.

I was there for the full fat let down live, it was, as you say, utter tripe.

Braving the elements and the denizens of Elland Road on Sunday, too. Weirdly, I think we’ll play really well . . . and probably lose. Let’s hope not.

Persuaded my sister to buy this for me for Christmas exactly 50 years ago! Scary!

Good luck at Leeds!

Brighton FA Cup next one for me, easy win right? :joy:

Thanks.

Laat time I went to Elland Road was when Giggs made a fool of Mel Sterland for the whole game. League Cup semi, I think. We won.

The only problem was I went with my Leeds season ticket holder friend and the atmospherics were horrendous. He knew I was a Red, but no one else did, thankfully. Never again. This time I’m in the away end!

My son’s going to the Brighton game, I can’t make it. Easy win? Yes?!?!
