Loving this by St Vincent, but having been there (Royal Albert Hall) when it was recorded probably makes a difference. The arrangements work really well.
The Butterfield Blues Band - In My Own Dream - Uniti Core - Muso 2. Shared vocals, more from the horns. Excellent album.
Baba Zula - Istanbul Sokaklari (2024). Posted this recently, but this is the first listen on CD, on the 200 system, and it’s sounding epic. Masterpiece.
Out on my bike today and meandered along I was thinking how difficult it must have been to follow the various Beatles and there output in 1969 and 1970.
Then got me pondering on the Zapple label.
From 1969 John & Yoko - Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions.
Challenging but rewarding.
The official debut although he had released the ‘unauthorised’ & equally excellent The Progressive Blues Experiment before this, Johnny Winter - Self Titled - Uniti Core - Muso 2.
Hi @Richard I had a favorable view of volume one. Intend to give it a few more listens over the next few days.
Soul Coughing - Ruby Vroom (1994). First play on CD. Good haul from my birthday, first chance to play it since. Superb.
