Listening to a Geese playlist I made on Qobuz. It comprises of their three albums and an EP as well as Cameron Winter’s solo album. Currently on Getting Killed. For me Geese are the find of 2025. Getting Killed was also my album of the year.

The Police | Ghost in the Machine | 1981

Not listened to Police or this one in particular for years, saw them live in Cairo at the American University around 1980 I think.

I bought this from Nat Steele when I saw the band play a couple of weeks ago. It’s a great album.

Many years since I last played this. That would have been on tape rather than Tidal and Sony separates instead of Naim.

Agreed. I was not that familiar with her work. It came up as a Qobuz recommendation and I’m really enjoying it.

Geofrey Oryema - Beat The Border, produced by Brian ENO.

First time listening to this album. It is from 1993. Geofrey was an Ugandan but unfortunately died in 2018. The music is East African with a Soul Blues sound. Very relaxing to listen to.

I will be looking out for more of his music.

Was watching the Rick Beato interview with Glyn Johns the producer/engineer of so many great bands and albums. This is one of his favourites Pete Townsend and Ronnie Lane, with Eric Clapton on a few tracks. Glyn later produced Clapton.
