What are you preparing for dinner tonight?

Having withdrawal symptoms for Thai.
So brewed up a Tom kha chicken thigh soup with sticky rice.

A cattlemen’s cutlet, it’s enough to feed at least 2. Thought about some veggies/salad but couldn’t be bothered.

I’m expecting Fred Flintson

Are those potato dumplings?

These are bread dumplings.

My mum use to rouladen, red cabbage and sticky potato dumplings for a boxing day dinner. Yum. (I’ve not had that for over 25 years might give it a go this year)

Made this morning cottage pie and then Ninjaed to night.
Sliced beans and yes room for another vegetable but it didn’t make the cut/ couldn’t be arsed.
Only half the pie eaten so guess what’s for dinner tomorrow.
The Wombat joined me.
I like that fig yogurt for afters. It reminds me of sunny days in the south of France.

Wine, wine, then some more at this rate.

Food? Ended up with chips and chicken nuggets and really wish I hadn’t bothered!

Looks lovely, but importantly it reminds me I have some sliced runner beans to use!

Cheese on toast (for lunch).

Local cheddar, with Coleman’s English mustard, chipotle chilli flakes and fresh thyme - on sourdough. Delicious.

Not for tonight but tomorrow, got 18 people for a BQQ. I’ve made this baked cheesecake many times but this is the first time it’s not cracked. :+1:

My fishing buddy dropped of a freshly caught rainbow trout this afternoon.
So swiftly rustled it up roasted with cauliflower greens. Basil. Garlic and a splash of water with lemon.
Along with a butter bean, leek and cavolo nero gratin and asparagus.
