Another pea soup. This time dried split peas with chicken stock and pulled chicken bits from last nights roast.

Rib sticking nectar.

First go at… Chermula baked butter beans with peppers, tomatoes and new potatoes. Should have baked a little more before adding the red bits to give a better appearance, lesson learnt for next time.

Was asked to make cauliflower cheese for dinner, and i obeyed.
(cheese sauce was a little bit runny, but still very nice)

Childhood memories come up. I hated pea soup as a child, then loved it. I haven’t eaten for a good 35 years.

Would it be summer now in Sydney?

And in the low 30s c. It’d be the last thing you’d be thinking about.

More dessert than dinner truth be told…

Today’s visit to the dentist resulted in a clean bill of health… time to ruin all the good work with some golf ball sized fruit jellies.

Mrs Duck has gone for a long weekend with her girlfriends to Agadoo, I mean Agadir, so I can cook things that wouldn’t normally be allowed. Tonight - a Barnsley chop with mash and purple sprouting. I had a glass (or 2) of the 2014 Chateau Puygueraud with it
