Back to the Bitter Suite in Lichfield. Gold Rush was excellent, Pump King less so, tasting faintly of Galloways Cough Syrup.
A fine assembly. I recall a wet February Tuesday evening in Bruges during which a preposterously large amount of Chimay Blanc was consumed. What a great night that turned out to be!
My haul from a Beer and Battlefields coach tour around Belgium and France from a few years ago.
The Hommel Bier was particularly good.
DG…
I remember the days when 3.6% was a normal strength bitter and not ‘light’!
Me too!
Sitting on the veranda on a very hot spring afternoon. For a no carb beer this is quite good and definitely the pick of low cal beer around here.
And yes I’m drinking it straight out of the bottle
Black Isle Brewery, Goldfinch; a lovely way to end the week. Hoppy, with hints of grapefruit but not too much.
Cheers,
Ian
Despite now being owned by a big corporate, I still like Camden Hells. We don’t often drink beer at home, but it’s nice sometimes.
Last time in London,I liked this very much!
Coincidentally my hotel was also in Camden
I get it from our local Coop. It’s £3.60 a bottle or two for £5. Who’d buy just one?
I drank it in the pub.In the company of my wife, daughter and a good friend who works/lives in London.
Our friend told us that when her parents come to visit her,her father first goes to the pub for fish and chips and a pint of Camden Hells.
We are from the Netherlands.
In February we are staying in Antwerpen for three nights, and then two nights in Delft. As you obviously know, there are some great bars in Antwerpen, with wonderful long lists of scarily strong beers. We are looking forward to it!
