There’s nothing better!
A bit of a Norwich beer takeover in The Bandstand this evening. The Black Anna was superb but then, I am partial to a good stout. Alongside the stout was Cask-Ade, also from Chalkhill Brewery, a brewery I first became acquainted with in the mid 1990s when I lived in The Fine City.
Cheers,
Ian
Theakson’s Quencher, a pale ale that’s only 3.4% but doesn’t taste widdly. It’s really very, very nice. In a pub in sunny Cheshire.
It was if you had a small.. I opted for 500ml! Felt that after tho!
That’s the spirit!
Last night, I was out for dinner at The Bandstand with a friend I had not seen since 1990. The beer line-up did not disappoint and neither did the reunion!
Cheers,
Ian
Spanish 5.4% San Miguel. 1.8 euros for a litre. Going down well in the Canaries.
The brand is originally Filipino and is still the largest selling beer in the Philippines and Hong Kong, apparently.
Black Magic - Austrian Porter
It tastes delicious! I got four of them yesterday from a former classmate because I organized a class reunion. That’s why it tastes twice as good!
This is Cheetah lager from Arundel’s Fauna Brewing. Not only is it a very nice beer, they give money to cheetah conservation from the proceeds.
A delightfully quaffable and smooth stout from Weetwood Brewery in Cheshire; being served at The Bandstand, a pub in the Highlands, where it was warm enough to sit outside. What’s not to like?
Cheers,
Ian
These sauces are so incredibly hot that even a minuscule amount (seriously, homeopathic!) made a hole in my tongue.
Luckily, an Erdinger Weißbier washes that extreme spiciness right away.
