Chouffe framboise, a little bit of Belgium in the park in sunny Havant. The newish micropub From Beer to Eternity is really lovely, family run in the old park keeper’s cottage, with a great range of beers.

In the Three Pigeons in Halifax ahead of seeing Public Service Broadcasting at the Piece Hall. A pub owned by the Osset Brewery so their beers feature prominently. Opted for Yorkshire Blonde, in honour of my wife.

I thought it would be nice to show a picture of The Bandstand, especially on such a lovely afternoon. Nairn central beach, where I’d just been walking my dog, Eddie, is about 150m behind me.
And after a busy day working on my wife’s office build, the walk was as welcome as the beer that followed.
Puffin, from The Orkney Brewery, is a lovely, resinous, biscuity, amber ale full of pleasant hop flavour and suitably refreshing on a warm afternoon.

Mastri Birrai Umbri – Cotta 37, a red craft beer from Italy
It is an unfiltered red ale with a rich, malty taste. You can taste sweet caramel, toasted grain, and a nice balance of bitterness. Very fresh and natural!

Northdown Pale after a blowy seaside walk. Hoppy with a hint of sweetness. Just a couple of miles from the brewery too.

I always have a pint of Jaipur if it’s on so couldn’t resist from my local beer/wine shop, even at 8.4%.
As you’d expect - a supercharged Jaipur. Don’t know much about Northern Monk so I’m not sure what they added. Big nose, big flavour.

This evening’s fine selection at The Havelock, Nairn.
Mor, Little Lady, was a nicely flavoured, low ABV session-style pale, which refreshed the palet nicely after a couple of pints of Dark Munro mild, next door, at The Bandstand.

A first for me, and rather nice. Art and Wine bar in San Pantaleo, Sardinia. Italian, and Sardinian beer in particular has improved so much over the years

A cheeky Monday late afternoon pint at The Bandstand, Nairn, after walking the dog. Brew Toon Ultra Black Stout was exactly that, with a lovely rich flavour and a hint of chocolate and coffee on the finish. I may have to return for another before it disappears.
