What beer are you drinking and WHY might anyone be interested?

Currently enjoying this Northen Pale from local Teesside microbrewery Three Brothers. A citrus session ale with a fresh finish, using Mosaic and Calypso hops

I’m not a fan of flavoured beers but this was drinkable if slightly too sweet.

It’s a Titanic afternoon. Keeping the Plum Porter for pudding.

Wye Valley. Dorothy Goodbody. IPA 6%

I have to say she goes down very well.

Love the Plum Porter; though less keen on the Cherry version.

Not had a Cherry version but it does sound oversweet. Tempted to pour some of the Plum over a couple of boules of vanilla ice cream like an affogato.

I had this yesterday. Sooo good after a few hours outside.

Easter is approaching. It’s bock-time again.

Paulaner from Munich - Salvator Doppelbock.

Pleasantly soft taste, rather light for a bock.

La Trappe Trappist Tripel

Nothing more needs to be said.

IPA for me … tally ho for the nurse. And I discovered that I am related to the Palmers when I thought it was the Eldridge Popes.

I’ve been quite forgetful lately in that I have neglected to take a photo of the pumps; too busy sampling and socialising no doubt.

Duly corrected!

A couple of pints of Dark Moor helped to warm me up on a cold Wednesday evening.

Cheers,

Ian

A rare sight: gravity fed beer. This is from the Cotley Inn: a fine pint from Exeter ‘fraid not.

I’m sure if I was at this establishment this wouldn’t be on the pumps for long.

Well with a surname of Reilly… it’s got to be done . Happy St Patrick’s day!

This is the second Guinness of my life, the previous one being many years ago. But if there is a right day to drink it, it’s today.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any Irish beer at home at the moment. But there are plenty of Belgian beers in the fridge, for example. Like this one.

Grimbergen - Tripel

I can’t (and of course shouldn’t) drink as many of them as I would like to.

I have these in the fridge waiting for me tonight:

Local micro brewer. Pretty decent beer.

The Chimay Tripel betters the Grimbergen. However, both at a very high level.

A fine pint (or 3!) of Inveralmond, Lia Fail, last night at The Bandstand.

Enjoying a plum porter from the Harrogate Brewing Co., chocolatey and sweet, not bad.
