What files can I play from the Core through the NDS

Hi all,

I presently arguing with ChatGPT, we’ve both walked away in a huff and I’m now absorbed in my own thoughts bemused. As per my thread title, what can I play from the Core through the NDS. ChatGPT said:

The Naim NDS can handle a variety of file types when using its DAC with the Naim Core. Here are the supported formats:

  • WAV: Up to 32-bit/384 kHz
  • AIFF: Up to 24-bit/384 kHz
  • ALAC: Up to 24-bit/384 kHz
  • FLAC: Up to 24-bit/384 kHz
  • DSD: Up to DSD128
  • MP3: Up to 48 kHz, 320 kbps (CBR/VBR)

I challenged the guy, he conceded a bit - he went the DSD64. But I need to check here, so I do not purchase the wrong tracks?

The manual has its limitations as presumable firmware updates change things??? So what files can I use through the Core and NDS??

The NDS can only handle up to 24/192 and DSD64

Plus dsd64 support was added in a firmware update (4. something not sure which number)
