Just been on the Eversolo site - lots of scrolling until I got to the EVC (Eversolo Volume Control). Not convinced by the blurb that it is lossless. I used my Hugo 2’s preamp section when I had it and found no difference in SQ. Give it a go when you swap them out. I’d be surprised if you can hear a difference.
Yep, it’s pretty much perfect!
I use a Unitiqute 1 and Nap 100 in a secondary system and it is lovely. Even thinking of sending them both to Salisbury for a wee service soon for a bit more longevity
Yes, I have a UNITIQUTE 2 it is very much featuring in my plans for restructuring , a veritable Swiss Army penknife
Surprised Naim never made a headphone, perhaps in collaboration. Clearly Focal have their own but I think there would have been space for one. Grado would have beeen nice as an OEM but that’s obviously out of question for more than one reason now.
Great thread. It really does show that Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder!
It’s great we all see things differently. I’ve always thought Naim got the “aesthetics” just right.
I am so fortunate to sit here with a Statement system and it looks just “ruddy” gorgeous! I love the white light Naim logo’s mid way and the depth of the black anodise finish and the fins in conjunction with the curves right down to the “sexy” volume control! Beautiful!
Suffice to say I love the look of the Uniti HE alongside the UnitiCore, simply simple and beautiful at the same time, and there is the Fraim that envelopes those boxes, again just stunning.
Solstice as well, looks beautiful. But then again my G1 Muso & QB also turns my head!!
Dam it…I just love the Naim look…hook line and sinker!!
Have a look at the new ‘hand crafted’ Focal’s on the Vienna High End thread…….
I doubt very much they’ll ever make it here.

Hahahah I still find it difficult to look at the chameleon eyes. With those the proportion off a bit (shown by this photo) as well given how tight the design spec had always been.
Not the answer per se - but I genuinely think its the Atom. I use one with via a pair of Naim IC Mono’s into a pair Naim Ovator S-400 (4ohm) looks great - minimalist - Naim IC Monos hidden away very near to speakers ie very short speaker cables none of which you can see - - it does make people wonder where all the sound is coming from. And I like that!!! Carry on.
Now that’s a sweet triple decker!! ![]()
I’ve always been partial to the chrome bumper Naim gear. The industrial design is so clean and timeless. I do like the olive gear as well. My favorites: Nait 50, Nait 2 olive, NAT101/Snaps chrome bumper, NAT01/PST chrome bumper.
I have two Qbs (Marine blue and Olive green).
While they look okay, like all current Uniti stuff the visuals are ruined by that top wheel. Stupid, clunky, unnecessary, and a dust trap. A totally inelegant solution to control. If they had made the top perfectly flush so you could wipe it in one go and made the volume a touch button like the other controls instead of the wheel it would have been far better. I guess they were willing to do anything to be different?
To this day I’ll never know what possessed them.
I couldn’t agree more. Ditto for the Mu-so2 (non-Qb).
We use our Qb2 as a music box outside on our deck. We never, ever use the stupid wheel for anything. We play Roon or Qobuz Connect, and use either our MacBook Air (me) or iPhone (her) to control it.
The dial is really a bad idea for outdoor use, but even our inside-only Mu-so2 is full of dust and crap. And it never gets used either.
In the end our Mu-so2 is totally overkill. We ended up using it for the bedroom TV. It sounds great, but we could probably be just as happy with something at 1/4 the cost.
I couldn’t disagree more. With the QB2 in the kitchen, mostly used for radio we nearly typically use the top control — it’s just so convenient. The QB1 in the bedroom mostly plays from our music store. Selection needs to be made with a phone but I often use the wheel for volume and switching off. Top controls are so convenient — a nice piece of design.

Absolutely brilliant images ( as always)…
Love what you’re doing over there ![]()

Agreed with this disagreement.
Not only does the top wheel looks cool, its a joy to use (if you don’t place it in a rack)
Visitors are equally impressed…”what’s that” they say enthusiastic.
Agree in its a dust trap.
If I get a CI102, being a dust trap is not an accusation that can be made against it …
Thanks ratrat! I get inspired once in awhile a pull out the tripod and setup up the heavy DSLR. (Nikon D850).
Won’t be doing it again for a little while as I’m one day out of surgery for a hernia and have been told no lifting. Even moving at this point is pretty painful!
Cheers
