Better known as guitarist Antennae Jimmy Semens from Capt Beefheart’s Magic Band, I’m hoping he’s brought some Magic to this.
CD sometime in August, double LP to follow. Being impatient, I’ve pre-ordered the CD.

A stunning-looking 5-LP vinyl box set on Soul Bank Records, containing the albums Open, Definitely What!, Streetnoise and Befour. Fully-restored artwork, booklet, mastered “under Brian’s guidance” (not sure by whom).

Blimey apparently Khruangbin and Vieux Farka Touré have got together to record an album devoted to the music of Big Daddy Ali. Due out late September. That has got to be heard!
Update there is a taster ‘Savanne’ on Tidal. Promising.

Out tomorrow Up snakes, down ladders from the unreleased Mickey Jupp vaults……one of the best bar band performers and writers who decided to give it up and live in Cumbria…but kept writing over 500 songs.

Walter Trout has a new release on Aug 19th. Probably more of the same, but if that floats your boat why not? 
My wife is gifting me the Mahler for my birthday. It’s today, but the release isn’t until 8/26. I can wait. I don’t play records that much during the summer anyway.
