What’s the next bit of gear you’re planning to buy in 2026?

It would be interesting to find out if class D can compete to a Uniti which basically was based on a Nait 5Si

I have considered this as well.

A cool item it seems.

I even tried to order on their web, no success - only BT editions were available or maybe I misunderstood ?

I may go more radical direct to Shanling PL 200T CD transport as I have a DAC available too, likely better all in, but DM 13 is tempting and affordable.

Hi mate sorry should have said the one I got was the BT version I got this so I could hook it up to the car as cars to don’t have CD players or even cassette players these days they assume we all have music on our phones. but you can turn the Bluetooth off if you want and it does have a decent sound. Maybe the one downfall as with most things these days I don’t think you can change the battery it’s a sealed unit Happy new year mate

Sorry should have said SMSL

Furutech makes really nice power distributors.

i had that problem - but found that pushing down gently on the puck with just a fingernail (so it could still rotate freely) solved it. not ideal i agree - but it does work

I have got a rather nice old Sondek…1984 vintage…with a 1988 Ittok arm and OC7 cartridge. This still sounds great..so I was thinking just a retune and a decent new OC9 cartridge. My philosophy is to me….. it sounds lovely which is why I bought it….so instead of a spiral of upgrades just enjoy it for what it is… If I did upgrade it would mean a new sub chassis carosel bearing and a new speed controller…which kinda takes it away in another direction…all be it a very good direction perhaps…

I’m going to try and improve my digital side this year with a new DAC, the soon to be released Gustard R26II. I like a well implemented R2R ladder DAC and the direction Gustard has been going but it will have to top my nDAC to stay. It’s a shame US tariffs have bumped the price of the R30 up. That’s the one I really want but it’s a bit more than I want to spend.
