Great knowledge. It’s an amazing plant, as I’m sure your aware, at night or if it is disturbed, it’s leaves fully close.
Exchanged my 5y old QB Gen1 with a Gen2. The ‘Corner’ DSP setting works wonders. Glad I did. Going with the standard grille for now, keeping the peacock I had stuck on the Gen1 on standby.
(If Dr. Murphy has his way again, the Gen3 will be introduced next year )
Mines been running in the kitchen for most of the afternoon, we’re extremely happy with ours. My only complaint is they make the standard grill as boring as bat sht and then charge a bomb to replace it.
…agreed, still I find it an improvement to the glossy black one on the Gen1.
Being new to vinyl, so I’m learning with this budget priced AT 120X which has no need for a phono stage. Changed the cartridge with VM95SH (Shubata line) and the mat with cork, just to get slightly better sound.
Yes it’s a shame they don’t sell them in a variety of colours from the off
If you’re good at arts and crafts, you can actually get the fabric off the grille and apply your own with a glue gun. I picked up several grilles when they were still cheap. Enough to risk refabricing the standard black ones to match the room they are in.
That’s a good idea I’d never thought of that.
I also use Clearway and find them to be very good too.

A new Denafrips Pontus II 12th Anniversary Eddition DAC. A full loom of Audio Envy cables.
Was considering one of these for my new headphone setup - let me know how it performs. There is a phase difference between the channels apparently that “could” damage equipment if the volume is turned up and down too fast. Put me off! Waiting for the New Ferrum Dac instead now (using D90se as a fill in at the Mo).
Currently under 100 hours of burn in, requires 300 -400. Haven’t explored the phase aspect however the difference in NOS and upsampling is easily detected.
Perhaps you can write up you experience with the new power supply and NDX 2 after you have had it up and running for awhile. Where you using a different power supply prior to the NPX 300?
Sure I will. I had XPS DR before. I’ll try to text you what I think when I have listening more to it. Whatever, my first impression is very good.
Thank you, I look forward to hearing about your experience moving from the XPS DR to the NPX 300 with the NDX 2.
Curious about this pairing as well. Was disappointed with the NDX2/XPSDR with the 252SC.
