Never open the link in a message like that unless you are 100% certain it is genuine.
At the very least this tells the scammer that you are there, and there is money to be made by selling lists of phone numbers which are known to be active to other scammers. Then you will get more and more of them.
In the worst case it may allow them to do something dubious to your phone.
In the UK you can easily report suspected SMS or email scams to the police or your network provider. Presumably you can do this in other countries too.
What are they?
G
There’s a many of them and I don’t open or touch any link. Our family company got hit for $120ks a few years ago with a extremely good tax office fraud. Luckily the bank paid it all back.
Thanks Pete.
Yes not opening the link at all.
Wish I did have a shiny new EE8 coming my way, but too many other priorities at the moment sadly.
My last purchase arrived today, I allways wanted a good pair of heaphones.
I hope the Utopia can be realy good, they are burning in at the moment, finely the family Will let me listen to music late at night.
A pair of Van Damme hifi series 4mm speaker cables from Mark Grant with 6mm jumpers I already had .
Yes I think my Nait XS2 likes this cable , seems to sound more effortlessly powerful than before with greater clarity.
Impressive.
Just had mine for 2 weeks now, Its brilliant and is still burning in. Everything in more detail and can turn it up and listen easily. I have tested positive for Covid (kids had it), so it 10 days isolation…every cloud and all that
Good luck with the Covid. Love my 500!
What is it, if you don’t mind me asking?
Chromecast audio. We use Roon for multiroom where we can, but can’t always (eg podcast from a tablet) and these work well in those circumstances. cc @budmoto
What a beauty!
I am not an headphone guy, but they are better than I expected to be, focal recommends a 24 hour burnin on tracks with bass. They are playing since they arrived, and I tried for a little and I am really impressed.
I still prefer the sound of speakers but I am happy with this purchase.
This little yellow chap arrived today. My Ortofon 2M Black was really sensitive to surface noise, and being a super fussy Shibata stylus was never quite level on the Rega, despite having a 2mm spacer, which wasn’t really enough. The Exact 2 is so tiny but at least it means that the spacer could go, and there are no ‘is it aligned properly?’ doubts, because it can only go in one place.
It’s the first time I’d fitted a cartridge in about 20 years, and to complicate matters I had to remove the arm in order to get the spacer off. But it’s done now, after borrowing the necessary torx bit from a neighbour and knocking over a whole cup of tea. It was worth it though, because it sounds great.
Lovely headphones. Being Open Back, I’m sure you’ll still have to move to another room if don’t want to disturb your loved ones. Enjoy them!
Open back but a lot lower than the speakers playing in the living room.
First impressions of the Gaia II feet are excellent and greater separation of instruments is how I can best describe it.
Very, very happy and highly recommended.
Nigel, are you still running the new cart through the SN3’s internal phono stage?
Looks good. In the past I preferred my 2M Black to the Exact, which I had some serious imbalance issues with, but the Exact had some musical qualities that the 2M Black couldn’t match with its more analytical nature.
I most certainly am.
Thanks, sorry, just read your posts in Systems thread.
Not familiar with Rega carts. Did you sell on your 2M?
