Cabaret Original Soundtrack

I remember that Liza Minnelli was one of Freddie Mercury’s favourite singers and seem to recall her performing at his memorial concert. I’ve been playing this a lot from Qobuz, so thought I’d get a copy to rip to the Core.

Another Midlands market town full of goodies I don’t know the Messiaen, great way to find out, and Bach never disappoints.

Bought copies on both Vinyl and CD format.

Released and available today - Friday 31st January 2025.

Don’t think I’ve been this excited for a new album for ages…
Guess what we ( me and my best mate, my wife) will be doing tonight ?

Happy listening to everyone on a Friday night.

This weekend’s purchases from local charity shop.
The catalogue of Sibelius Symphony cycles is vast. But a bargain price for an excellent Chandos recorded sound of a Finnish conductor was too good to pass by. Impressed so far

The Bax string quartets are nice addition to my Bax CD collection. Again a a great recorded sound.

So where are all these charity shops with such rich hauls!

For sure, they ain’t in southern ‘Ampshire!

My favoured one is the rather excellent Demelza bookshop in Hythe. Unlike most charity shops that are filled with multiple copies of recent talent show winners CDs, this one has a broader selection as witnessed from my recent postings.
They also have a small but decent selection of second hand vinyl singles and albums, though somebody must be doing research before putting them on sale as the prices are inline with Discogs. For example they had an original copy of Iron Maiden Killers for £40.
I can also recommend Florence’s bakery which whilst small does excellent coffee, bread and pastries which are all baked on site.

Would that be Hythe in Hampshire, or Hythe in Kent?

Kent. I didn’t even know there was one in Hampshire. Everyday is a school day!:grinning:

Yes it’s just across Southampton Water. There used to be a “military port” there.

Nice little bundle from Oxfam.

Fifteen quid!!!

Still, it is for charity…

I’m impressed someone had the vision to package sell🙂
