What was the last concert / gig you attended?

Just back from Woodshrop Festival in Shrewsbury. A great weekend of tribute acts with some prodigious bass at times (UB40 and Bob Marley in particular). First time camping in 45 years and can’t wait to do it again!

Concert Keb’ Mo, fantastic and very interactive!

Apparently if we had arrived a little earlier we might have caught Nick Cave

Yesterday I saw the Simply Quartet at the Wigmore Hall in London, programme was Mozart’s The Hunt Quartet and Grieg Quartet No. 1.
Lovely concert, the Mozart fizzled with energy, the Grieg was beautifully played, the hall was full, wonderful way to spend late Sunday morning. They’re a really fine quartet.

I am taking a bit of a risk here as it is not strictly a ‘live’ concert.

It is a virtual reality reconstruction of a (generic) Rave experience from 1989, hosted in The Pit at The Barbican, London.

Here is a photo of the entry wristband.

Unfortunately the ‘event’ which is running daily until 3rd August, I now understand to be fully booked. However I do not know if cancellations of other punters will enable other interested forum members to go?

It was awesome, really took you into the rave experience, really good. I do hope more of this concept is done in the future.

A wonderful English evening as part of the Lucerne Live Festival (Switzerland) last Monday. We enjoyed a double concert by Kokoroko and Ezra Collective, both from London. Great groove and dancing in the large classical concert hall (KKL). During the interval, we also had a special view of Lake Lucerne from the concert building.

Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Carlisle. 50 years of Motorhead, hence a 90 minute set of classic Motorhead ditties. Excellent.

Top band. Saw them Friday at Alice Cooper.

A good weekend for me. Alice Cooper at the London O2 on Friday. Then On The Beach in Brighton yesterday (razorlight, kaiser chiefs and football!)

Day 3 of Tramlines Festival in Sheffield yesterday (Hillsborough - 3 main stages). Masterclasses in pop by Sigrid, CMAT and Red Rum Club, plus
many others.

I see Mr Depp put in an appearance with his mate Alice Cooper’s band at the O2😊

Yes indeed. Plus the original band members form the 70s. A genuinely great night

Jazz quartet in the village pub yesterday afternoon. Not really my sort of music but always good to have a live performance. And they were actually very good especially the singer and keyboard player. They are a bit of an ad hoc group who come together periodically so I can’t give you their name as they have never bothered to get one. :slightly_smiling_face:
