Thanks Bob, ordered. Not that widely available but found a copy.
A gift from my dear friend and illustrator Celyn Brazier.
He’s done many albums now for Luke over the years, got this one before release date ![]()
Great live recording of a great live band.
The recording is so full of energy - turn it up loud and it damn near assaults you …
Just arrived today. Another grail for me.

Jamie Leeming - Sequent, Sekito Records (2025)
Jamie is a long time band member and collaborator of Alfa Mist whose label this is on Alfa also duets on Storm 5 track 2, Side 1. Tom Misch’s sister Laura plays sax on Shore Embrace and there are also collaborations with the excellent SLY5THAV and fellow Alfa Mist band member Kaya Thomas-Dyke.
The excellent Sequent is Guitarist Jamie Leeming’s second record and features some of the best young musicians playing in and around London’s Jazz scene including drummers Richard Spaven and Jay Kayser. Very nice sounding too mastered by Guy Davie at Electric Mastering.
These were purchased via Discogs from Italy, Germany, Denmark and the USA and all are quite unique in their own way. Vinyl is ![]()

My copy of Tom Petty - Wildflowers - One Step vinyl arrived yesterday.
I love this album and bought the absolutely stunning ‘9lp boxset Wildflowers & All the Rest’ five years ago. This 9lp is one of the best sounding records in my collection. Not just the pressing, the recording and mastering are all absolutely superb. The new one step is expensive and I was thinking how much better, if better, could it be. However, I’ve just been playing and comparing it today and have been blown away. Doesn’t happen often. What a masterpiece this pressing is. You can hear and feel the strings vibrate. The bass is tighter, deeper, more tuneful and more controlled. Tom’s voice is brought out and more full-toned. Much more live presence.
Hard to believe that when I go back and put the 9lp box version back on, it sounds flabby with less detail. Where does this all end?
Vinyl music really is an amazing thing.
P.S. My copy is perfectly silent, flat and no pops. Thank God
I bought this as well. I also have the 9 LP box set as well. Sadly my copy had a very badly split inner gatefold sleeve so I’m waiting on a replacement. I have not done any direct comparisons but this new One Step sounds fabulous.
I had no idea about this release until I read your post just now, but now it’s on order! ![]()
Wished I hadn’t seen this. I normally stay clear of these type of audiophile releases but also pulled the trigger as fascinated to hear if they can improve on what was already a stunning sounding album.
Read a review and decided I need to hear You Trip Me Up (my all- time favourite JAMC track) again here, in remastered studio + live.
So…

Third Man Records Vault #65
Bought the TMR Vault set in the end, @Scotchegg.
You Trip Me Up sounds wonderful, but then it always has! Yet to compare my 1985 LP but YTMU sounds great, as great as the original 12" 45 single. Whether it’s better I dunno, haven’t played both alongside yet.
can’t even read that, what’s the detail?
