Where to buy vintage CDS1 upgrade black burndy?

Where can I buy Naim S-CDPS black burndy upgrade cable for old school CDS1 CDP from the 90s? I looked around and the black burndies available are for XPS and newer Naims. Any suggestion? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. An excellent upgrade for the CDS. The S-CDPS should be available to order from Naim via your Naim dealer. Alternatively they do sometimes appear on sale and auction sites, but you might have to be very patient as those who have them tend to keep them on their CDS.

I contacted Naim support. They no longer carry something this old. :sob:

That’s a shame. I guess demand just isn’t there. Looks like you’ll need to scour the sales sites.

They should be able to make one up

Find the part number of the burndy

Goto a naim dealer and ask them to contact naim for a price for your lead to be custom made, naim do offer this service but only through a dealer,

as this is what I would need to do for a 52PS burndy which I enquired about a few months ago,

Naim support said they stop stocking or making parts for this dinosaur, period. :sob:

I’d be considering whether to invest so much into a product which may have an uncertain future - perhaps there’s other areas of your system that would benefit equally?

Spare parts yes, but burndys are still used today on today’s kit, the only way to deal with naim is through a dealer, I’ll give @NeilS a shout on this he will be able to give us an answer if Naim can make one up, if they can it won’t be cheap and you will need to go through a dealer

Maybe worth a call to the bigger Naim dealers to see what they might have tucked away.

I’d start with Tom Tom Audio (other dealers are available).

Sort of. Naim support found the raw cable and I need to order through a dealer. Hopefully it won’t cost an arm and a leg. Thanks.
