My pal owns a pub and has Butcombe Goram IPA zero on draught and a very nice pint it is
Which pub is that ? I live about a mile from the Butcombe brewery - Butcombe Original is my favourite pint.

It’s the Malet in Newton Toney, North of Salisbury.
Thanks - a bit far for a regular visit but I’ll bear it in mind.
Butcombe have really spread their wings since they were bought out by a hedge fund - just hope they don’t go the same way as Smiles. So far the beer is still good but the many pubs they have taken over have boringly similar food menus now.
Both of these are very nice. 0.4% and 0.3%. The one on the right is Beavertown Lazer Crush IPA. Available from Asda in packs of 4.

I’ve tried many over the years. Favourite from awaaaaay back was Swan Light, based on the Aussie brand but it didn’t last long before disappearing. Firebrand is the current low alcohol beer of choice - pretty convincing IPA taste and no awful aftertaste. Still not quite the “real thing” but it’s a very palatable alternative.

Of all they produce my preference was for Little Wave lager. Thought the IPA was okay but there are so many better alternatives now in an increasingly competitive market.
Just tried the much hyped Bero. Again, it’s okay. I’d have it again but I wouldn’t rave about it or recommend it to anyone. The Butcombe Brewery Goram IPA on the other hand…

Nice to be out in the back garden again. It’s been a long long winter.
An independent off licence (about 10km away) stocks this and it’s well worth searching out.

Duly noted.
In a very hot day in Belgium this went down very well. Brewed with 2 types of malt and 3 types of hops apparently and does have a decent palate on it.

Not quite zero this being a 1% low alcohol Pale Ale. Kinnegar Low Tide.
A close second the the best IPA I’ve come across Delta Zero (0.3%) which unfortunately I haven’t been able to get outside of Belgium.

Nirvana: Hefeweizen - 0.3% - Wheat (Vegan)
Fresh, light wheat beer, brewed to a traditional Bavarian recipe. Bought a few no/alcohol beers for these hot evenings.
This one looks the part, but I’d prefer 0.5 Ghost Ship or the Lucky Saint Hazy IPA.

Not a fan of the Lucky Saint. Have just finished my supply of Ghost Ship. Find I like much of what Nirvana do. About to crack open a Butcombe Brewery Goram IPA sat in the delightful darkness of the garden waiting the currently nightly parade of hedgehogs.

Picked up a case of this from our local discounter who sell short and out of date products. Can’t complain at £8 for 12 bottles!
One of the better ones I’ve tasted, didn’t have a weird aftertaste that you sometimes get.

DEYA Eye for Symmetry 0.5 IPA. Cloudy with a fruity taste. made in Cheltenham. Barley, Wheat, Oats, Hops, Yeast, and Glycerine. Good mouthfeel with dry hoppy taste. I’d buy this one again.

Nirvana’s Cloudy Lemon Lager 0.2% is very much to my taste. Radler style.
