Which Burndy for Naim DAC to 555PS

Experience over 40 years of Naim ownership has taught me that upgrading a power supply is a very good thing and I’m considering moving from a XPS II on my Naim Dac to a 555 PS. I have a few question than I’m sure members can help me with regarding Burndy cables .

Is there any difference between a CD 555 PS and a 555 PS ? I’m reasonably sure they are the same thing .

The 555PS is sold without Burndys , which Burndy will I need ? Is it the XPS-S that my XPS II was supplied with ?

Which output socket will I use on the 555 PS to connect to the Naim DAC ?

Burndys are something of a new area of endeavor for me . The rest of my CD set up is Teac 701T CD transport , Teac CG-10M Master Clock , Naim Dac , Naim XPS II.

Naim DC1 between CDT and Dac , Mutec 50 Ohm BNC between CDT and Master Clock . Vertere Redline between Dac and Pre-amp

But unusually, the dac will still require an IEC cable as well as the burndy from the 555..

Yes, the DAC White paper explains why;

When the PSU upgrade option is used with the Naim DAC, power supply separation is further increased by the use of a dedicated supply for the master clock circuits. It also provides a bigger toroidal transformer and bigger reservoir capacitors, and the DSP remains powered from the Naim DAC transformer to give even more separation from the analogue section.

The XPS II was a big improvement .Richard can you confirm which Burndy I will need ,thanks .

You will need either an XPS or S-XPS (better) Burndy cable.

Thank you Richard , To be clear ,I have seen a Burndy marked XPS-S is that the same as a S-XPS , I do find Burndys confusing

Are you sure it’s not S-XPS?

Sometimes the transparent plastic lifts the print and so you get a double print and it can be tricky to distinguish.

Mine says SXPS (0013) I assume the 0013 was the person who crafted mine. Whomever he/she is, did a fantastic job.
