Do you have one?
Be fascinated to hear what Marantz can offer for £10,000 as I was never a fan of the ‘house sound’.

No. Nice piece. I just don’t spin CD’s anymore, except to rip them to my NAS
Their website says they are sold out.
Was not aware that T+A made a turntable. Beautiful looking!
It is about 25 years old…They then made a different one, the G2000.
Good Evening to all.
This thread has been going for a good while now since I started it late last year and I’ve found it very interesting and informative.
I started by asking for advice on a replacement CDP for my REGA Apollo which had a new laser fitted but I felt like a change and wow, I got a Marantz SA-12se. After a while I realised the Marantz wasn’t ‘doing it’ for me, for some reason, so I sold it and got a Teac PD-505T which I have now.
The Teac is a fine CDT and works well with my Nova, but I’ve always regretted selling my CDX2 some 17 years ago even though times were a bit tough for me at that time.
Although it’s probably nonsensical to get another CDX2 for obvious reasons, I found one advertised which, according to the owner had not been used since new, was very interesting indeed. After asking some questions the owner confirmed the player had simply not been used… So I took the plunge and bought it.
I haven’t got my hands on it yet but I’ll probably start a separate thread. Maybe a few will be interested and I’ll probably be looking for some advice.
I just want to say thanks for all your advice..
Great outcome! Hopefully it lasts you a long time.
Nice result, lovely player.
I just bought a Rega Planet 2000 to use it as a drive and replace my CD5si, I find it excellent on my SPL…
Bargain to get a Naim CD5si as just being discontinued but a great price and no nonsense built like a tank player.
And you still get a warranty.
They will look back with fondness.
Recently moved my Naim Nait 50 up stairs in the bedroom I’ve mostly streamed previously due to having a small SETs amp with only a single L&R for input upstairs. Now with the N50 and more inputs I thought about bringing my Oppo 205 upstairs as well but quickly thought better of the idea as squeezing behind the AV TV set up and disconnecting all the myriad of cabling that goes into the 205 is not a easy task and am a bit older and wider now than when I last contorted myself to hook it all up.
So into the attic and dug out my old Technics SL-PG580A cd player which I purchased new in 1996 it’s still working perfectly 29 years on and it’s been a blast playing CDs via the N50 and Fonken speakers.
Edit for anyone that’s curious a Fonken is a Onken speaker designed to use a Fostex driver
