Looking for a new phono stage in the under £2000 category please. It must allow two TTs connected to it (both MC). Any recommendations please?
Current TT is a Technics and next one maybe a Linn.
What’ve caught my eye so far are:
Luxman E250 and Hegel V10
The Cyrus phono stages are highly regarded. They have three options Signature, Classic and the new 40.
There is a Cyrus Phono Signature on ebay for £785 from a top seller in UK. Allows upto 4 turntables. The Cyrus PPA is the most advanced and costs £1995 new. Both can be upgraded with a PS as well. I haven’t heard them, but then there are so many phono stages out there!
They both look very gpod!
The Luxman E250 was also the first that sprung to mind. Does you deal actually have some options for you to try though? A problem might be with the fact that the loading settings may need to be different on each input. Some stages that support 2 decks have independent selection. Some don’t, which would be a pain.
The second consideration is that with such high end decks, selecting based on this feature may be limiting and preventing selecting one that you find has the best synergy with your deck and amp.
BTW, I was thinking of buying one of these a few months back. I didn’t notice it supported two inputs until just now.

One input must be on XLR though, and the other RCA, but you can switch between them.
Moorgate had a Signature with PSX up for £949 a couple of weeks ago.
Was sorely tempted, but we haven’t yet freed up a power socket by getting an NDS, so passed this time.
And it sold in a few days

I have a Cyrus signature and very happy. I got it s/h from Moorgate to get me up and running after I’d got a LP12.
Like others have said, four inputs, all switchable between mm and mc, and each input can be configured.
I never had a separate phono stage before and nothing to compare it with, but happy with what it does.
A bonus (for me) is the shoebox footprint.
That 40PPA is a thing of beauty but the price incl separate power supply is quite prohibitive. Looks like I need to keep an eye out for a Signature with Power Supply
I believe some of the Cyrus phono stages can be used using the internal PS, and upgraded later with the external PS. They are great phono stages if you want to use multiple TTs as a friend of mine does with his 4 TTs.

It has a fixed input capacitance of 220pf I believe which is not that great for AT cartridges.
I have a Cyrus Phono Signature with PSXR 2 Power Supply and it really is amazing. It supports 4 turntables and MM ands MC cartridges independently. All specs, gain, resistance and capacitance can all be individually changed while a record is being played. These can also be configured by the remote controller. I find it very impressive. So much better than my Naim Stageline S.
