Why how you stream Tidal makes a difference

So, I have tried for many months alternatively streaming Tidal through the Naim app, through Tidal connect, and through Audivarna. There are clear sonic differences between each way of streaming the same albums at the same resolution. I am not clear what causes the differences. Note that I am not interested in which one is better (I can judge for myself :)). I want to understand why streaming what should, to the uninitiated like me, be the same bits of information can lead to such sonic differences. Any help understanding this would be greatly appreciated.

Recently dragged kicking and screaming into the digital world started with playing basic Spotify through my 70 watt Naim Nait XS2/Sonus Faber Amato 'Speakers the sound is like listening through a not very good radio

Tried Amazon HD a bit better now im on Tidal which sounds ok through my Chord Mojo plugged in to a laptop but when played through my hi fi the volume is well down when i do track comparison with a CD which blows Tidal out of the water

Interested in your personal taste, which one you do like more?

You seem really to have gone a long way to be sure digital sounds as bad as possible. In that way you of course get what you expect.
tracks at a higher level will always sound better this is known and I even think agreed by almost everybody.
