Why only 2 DAC options?

I helped a friend purchase one via Singapore and it’s been seamless. That seems to be the general consensus too.

I’m very surprised by this, too. Most have had excellent results with Alvin Chee, the rep out of Singapore. Either way, the Audio-GD I’d bet is nice.

Indeed, really happy with the Audio-GD DI20HE, much better than I hoped it would be.
Purchased via a European dealer which worked absolutely flawless.
And gives me some peace of mind in case I would need support.

Which brings me back to the topic of the Naim nDac:
Maybe there are better Dacs out there, but to me the nDac sounds mighty enjoyable, with a 555 even more so.
And the immaculate Naim customer service and dealer network gives me peace of mind, so no need to look elsewhere.

Yeah, Alvin is both lovely and ridiculous. Pings brilliant emails off at all hours of the day to the extent you wonder if he sleeps.

I will be in the market for a better DAC eventually, having traded in my Mscaler/TT2 recently. I thought Dave would be what I end up with but I have my eyes/ears wide open. On the weekend I found out that my old local dealer here in Windsor Ontario sold the business, he had been working out of his home for the last 5 years.
I talked to the new owner Saturday and today, he has a store opening up in a month or so.
We talked about various DACS and music servers, he sells Innous products. He mentioned a relatively new company, that he carries their products…Saturn Audio. He told me their (Saturn 201 DAC ) is a giant killer, and something I MUST hear.
I plan on heading there once he opens the store to have a listen, but looking at the website, this thing looks pretty serious.
Canadian company, where I live, and a ten year warranty.:grinning:
