Will a musical fidelity m2si work with my focal chora 826

Hello.

I have a pair of Focal Chora 826 floorstanding speakers. I will be running them in my basement workout area and i wont be too far from the speakers. The m2si at 72wpc and handling impedance dips well seems like a good option and will play loud enough but I want to avoid distortion/clipping, I want the equipment to last long and I want the speakers to play well. So would these two units pair well? I was also looking at the m5si but it is double the price and wonder if it would be worth it for the performance at the volume i will be playing it at.

Have you actually listened to the pairing? The Focals should be fine for the quoted amp power - they are sensitive speakers, but whether they will sound any good with the MF amp is another question altogether.

I have heard a demo with a more powerful 500wpc musical fidelity and a Rotel 1572. i liked the sound better than rotel.
