Wobbly bits or a nice tight fit

I’ve had various cheap upgrades from the forum, including:

  • Xanthe’s shelf isolation design
  • Cisco 2960s
  • BJC 6a ethernet cables
  • cable dressing, attention to detail of all aspects of set up
  • SH Quadraspire racks
  • Darran of Class A
  • NACA5
  • proxy server

I’ve also had various expensive upgrades too!

If you do in time succumb to a Fraim it’s worth going for the full fat rather than the lite. I balked and bought lite only to end up buying the shelves, glass, ball, etc to convert it, or nearly. I still have lite shelves on the lower of the two base levels and for the DVD5 and non Naim bits. Secondhand can make it less painful.

Fraim does come up used now and again. I’d jump on some if it was me so it’s there even if you go further up the black box ladder.
