Is anyone else here watching? I didn’t see any of the group games live, but I’ve been glued to the round of 16. It’s been fun and uplifting – apart from Cameroon. They are a total, unmitigated disgrace, and should be banned. Simple as that.
Consider me a re-constructed women’s footy dinosaur, as I previously never had much interest, but watching some of the earlier games, I’ve been most impressed by some of positional play and skills on display.
How refreshing to see the beautiful game played with very little evidence of the prima donna attitudes present in the men’s game.

Many fine footballers and athletes. I’ve played against women – and they were badass. This is much more of a sporting contest than the men, apart from the grim and malignant display by Cameroon.
