I run nac112/nap150/Flatcap2. All recapped.
Would it be worth the ”hazzle” as an upgrade to go nac152x/nap150x?

You mean these? Doubtful, borrow and try at home if you can. (Or compare with your stuff at Akkelis, which one suits you best)
I doubt it - save up for a better pre amp (202 minimum). That will make a far bigger difference.
Yup, those are the ones. Need recapping of course.
I guess not to big a step up in musical quality if I read your reply correct.
Better go directly to the 5xx-set up Akkelis got
