Hi everyone. Betraying my woeful ignorance here. I have a Nova and I have been offered a DAC-V1. Can they even be used together? Would it offer any improvement to sound quality? Any advice greatly appreciated.
I don’t think so, the DACv1 is a highly competent DAC and headphone amplifier , the Nova is a very good stand alone bit of kit (I had one )
The DACVi is a desirable bit of kit - and I have looked for one on more than one occasion , but the Nova is a streamer , amplifier, DAC all in one and I can’t see where it would fit with a Nova
Not really a useful combination. You cannot use the streamer in the Nova, connect it to an external DAC, then send the signal back to the Nova pre or power amp. So it would need a separate source and then feed it into an analogue input on the Nova.

Which would then get re-digitized by the Nova and converted by the Nova DAC back into analogue.
