definitely worth it to audition …otherwise, it might lead you to the next step, which is ND555.

I skipped the XPS step given the 50:50 reviews on it and went for a 555PS. Ex dem they are similar priced to a new XPS. It was definitely a jaw dropping moment on the NDX2.
I also demoed the NPX300 at the same time. It certainly gave the 555PS a run for its money. Both brought equal amounts of extra detail, but different sound presentations (new classic vs old classic sound that you can read about in other threads).
