XS3 Illumination Query

I’m using an XS3, and the only input source used is to ‘phono’ from a turntable.
Ami I right in thinking that the only way to turn off the illuminated volume and input light on the front panel is via the ‘DISP’ button on the remote, but have to be in ‘pre-amp’ mode first ?
In this instance does pre-amp refer to an external pre-amp,and as such the XS3 would be no longer be have ‘phono’ selected, so this would ave to be re-selected before using the turntable?

In short, the DISP on the remote won’t have effect while i’m selected to ‘phono’? Thanks!

That’s just normal operation mode. Press disp on the remote and the lights toggle off and on.

Put the amp in power amp mode and all the lights are off permanently.

Sorted, thank-you. The step I was missing was to press the ‘pre’ button on the remote first before pressing the ‘disp’ button. All good. tnx
