XS3’s Sub Out

I will be able to borrow a couple of power amps from friends over the weekend, and I plan to connect it through the XS3’s Sub Outs. Just a few questions:

  1. The Sub Outs are full range, right?
  2. With my speakers connected to the third party power amps, is it ok for the XS3 to be used to drive the power amps without any speaker connected to it? Won’t the XS3’s output stage be damaged if I drive it without speakers attached to it?

Running the XS3 without speakers is not going to cause issues.

You’re correct that the Sub out is full range and a duplicate of the pre-amp output. The only difference being that the sub L&R outputs are ‘slugged’ by series resistors as this output is expected to drive longer cables.
