I cannot see how I can edit a post, so what I shall do is to copy my original post, then delete the original post and then repost it with a starred album.

Another idea maybe, taken from the original Desert Island Discs format: how about highlighting the one album which you’d rescue from a flood, I.e. that one album that you’d not like to live without.

This is a re-submission of my original list, still in no particular order, but now with one album starred as my personal recommendation of an album to listen to if you listen to none of the others. Also in brackets is a suggested taster track should you not wish to listen to the entire album. I am hoping that others will do the same, as I would love to try out some of your suggestions.
Richard Thompson - Celtschmertz
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Boulpic - Konpa Lakay
Hazmat Modine - Cicada
Trombone Shorty - Backatown
John Martyn - Solid Air
Loudon Wainwright III - Career Moves
Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure
*Moishes Bagel - Uncle Roland’s Flying Machine (Timgad – suggested taster track. Note: this album is not available on Tidal although other excellent M B albums are, perhaps try the album “Salt”. Also, the Brodick Quartet have an excellent cover of Timgad on YouTube that is well worth a listen).
Led Zeppelin - IV
Yes - Yessongs
Ali Farka Toure & Toumani Diabate - In The Heart of The Moon
C. W Stoneking - Jungle Blues
Oliver Mtukudzi - Paivepo
Rebirth Brass Band - Feel Like Funkin’ It Up
