Flicking through this list not many have chosen an album from the last decade, or even this millenium!

Probably at least partly a time thing, which equates to age of the person and age of the album: an album that has stood the test of time and is still loved is unlikely to become tiresome, and at the same time there will be more memories for it to invoke.
