I saw this thread pop up in my list of recently posted topics and wondered if this album has been mentioned yet. It’s an astonishing album in every way. The music is gorgeous and the interplay between the musicians is so tight it’s as if they were one. The sound quality is amazing for 1961 - in fact it’s better than many modern recordings. The Village Vanguard is a small triangular club and the microphones pick up noises from the audience, which add the sense of being there. A truly brilliant box set. Highly recommended.

Bit late to this thread but other recordings of the concerts have been released. Great sound quality for the great performances
