South Side - Resound NYC Version (Moby, Ricky Wilson)
Cello Sonata in G Minor, Op.65: III. Largo” feat. Julien Brocal at The Chopin Salon (Camille Thomas)
Absolute classic…
The Stranglers : “Walk On By”, (1978).
Love the bit when Hugh Cornwall “goes for a walk in the trees”. (Long instrumental follows).
Continuing a theme…
Human League : “Being Boiled”, (1978).
Even if you’re not really into Human League, this - their debut single - is worth a listen to hear this electro’ synth pop classic, as that whole movement (into the 80’s) was just getting going.
Here’s another single, from 1978…
PIL : “Public Image”, (1978).
I’m a massive fan of anything “drum and bass”, and this record delivers in spades… Bags of energy. Best played loud
Kraftwerk, at their best…
IMHO
Kraftwerk : “The Model”, (1978).
To say 1978 is a bit of a cheat really.
Yes. It was first released in 1978. In Germany.
Then re-released as a B side to “Computer World”, in the UK, in 1981.
Perhaps 80’s Electro’ pop at its best.
