I’ve never worked out what turntable that is. The tonearm looks pretty brutal, agricultural, or whatever the word might be.

Apparently the turntable used for the cover photo on The Nightfly is a 16 inch 1950s model, possibly a REK-O-KUT . The arm has been identified as a Para-Flux A-16 tonearm.

That is very impressive knowledge!

I’ve never come across, or heard of, a 16" platter. Were there 16" records at some point in the past?

There’s not much around that isn’t known by some Member of this Forum.
