wow! thats insane
Decided to remove the textile strap and install the leather one instead. I slightly prefer the look of the leather one. It’s also more comfortable (as the padding in the textile strap is a little too stiff towards the top parts of the strap where it curves against the wrist bone, making the watch tilt a bit to either side).
Lovely timepiece. Simple design, love the dial and colours.
I prefer the leather strap too.
Looks fabulous on the wrist, enjoy.
Swapped the black ‘fujitsubo’ for a blue one , only as have no blue watches. Set it at midday yesterday and this morning it’s lost 1 second.. amazing!
That’s a fine looking watch. I do like the see through hour hand. It’s a slight shame it’s 41mm; maybe Citizen will catch up with trend to smaller watches. I imagine a 40 or 39 would be more wearable, for me anyway.
It wears small so it doesn’t feel like a 41 and being titanium it’s light too. For ref my wrist is a small 6.5 inch. It also feels smaller on a strap as the solid end links protrude beyond the lugs by a mm or so,
Catching up with this thread today I thought I’d share my small collection, one subtle and under the radar, but which I like very very much and the other slightly less so subtle but still one that I really like
I’ve included the black background too, from my CB NAP250 to comply with the thread title ;o)
I have a hankering for another Speedmaster, regretfully I sold the Speedy Tuesday I managed to get when they launched that a few years ago and now I’d really like a 321 movement example
I chanced upon Tandorio as a result of the read today though too, and think one of those will most likely arrive before the Omega
Nice JLC.
Thank you, it’s the Geophysic 1958 in stainless, really interesting story behind the original release and well worth a read if you’re into your watches
That Geophysic is beautiful. We don’t see many Jaeger-LeCoultre watches on here, nor indeed when out and about. I love my Master Control Calendar, which is my only ‘posh’ watch these days.
I’ve always been told they make watches that a watchmaker would like to own but they still seem little known
That one looks lovely, I particularly like the day/month display which reminds me of the way Patek feature this on some their dials
I have been thinking about getting a blue strap for a while and they have been out of stock. Yesterday on the off chance I rang the Old Bond Street boutique to ask when they might be available and to my surprise was told they had two in stock. How could I say no? They sent a payment link at about 4pm and said that if I paid promptly I may get it tomorrow, or failing that Monday. Then a couple of hours later I got a message from DHL to say it will be delivered today. They are so lovely and helpful in the boutique and they must have pulled out all the stops to get it collected. It’s great to get such excellent service.
I think the strap is lovely, and it picks up the blue of the moonphase and the day and month lettering. It’s interesting how a simple strap change can make a watch look so different. It’s almost like having another watch, but at a much lower cost.
There’s always IWC Portugieser: A Tribute to Eternity, Hans Zimmer on Tidal .
ATB , J
That matches very well
Thanks. I’m really pleased with it.
My first Rolex was a pre loved DateJust - a 1988 model that I bought on April 1st, of all days, in 2013. My second Rolex was bought less than a week later on April 6th - a brand new Hulk Submariner from Goldsmiths on interest free credit believe it or not.
The DateJust gains about 5 seconds a day which is pretty good. However, in comparison the Hulk’s aaccuracy is amazing. The last time I set it was December 1st (correcting the date). I wore it today and it has lost 14 seconds in those 8 weeks.
My DateJust accuracy is spot on. Has been serviced, new bracelet and no marks or scratches, warranty 24 months. Doesn’t loose or gain a second!. 1989 absolutely mint.
Wearing it every day. My Tag is in for service and should be back end of February from same jewellers I got the Rolex from.
They said it will come back as new. So it was gaining alot of time and was barely been used.
Have a two watch winder arriving soon as well. See what that does.
Really enjoying my Rolex. More than any other watch I have owned.
Not sure if this has been mentioned before. I have a 2006 Omega Seamaster. Last time I adjusted the time was over six months ago and the watch is accurate to the second. I read an article by Rolex which said if your watch is gaining leave it on its side at night and if it is losing leave it face side up at night. Using these tips I can keep the watch bang on accurate. Of course in time it will need another service to be able to do this and also assuming they do a good service which hasn’t always been the case.
